I don't think they'll ever learn to use our weapons though, and they certainly wouldn't be able to manufacture new ones. For chimps to learn from each other they usually have to get in close and watch something being done several times. Pregnant and was in a car accident a couple weeks ago...what should I do about this?

On December 12th I was involved in a car accident. I was a penger in the backseat. I had to go the the hospital because I'm (now) 30 weeks pregnant and suffered some pain. Right after the accident I Had pain in my left knee/shin, pain on my arm (i was sitting next to a car seat and my arm got rammed into it), some neckpain, felt like bruising on my tummy and I started getting cramps in my tummy too. Well I went to the hospital and had to stay there hooked up to monitors for approx 25 hours. When I was discharged I was told that I suffered a contusion of the upper extremity, a contusion of the lower extremity, and a neck sprain. Now they tried to have me do an mri because in the middle of the night -- when i finally did fall asleep for like 20 min i woke up and my arms and the bottom half of my face were going numb. I couldnt complete the mri b/c of how pregnant i am...i cant lay on my back for more than a couple of minutes without ping out. They said I may have nerve damage. Well now my upper back hurts soo bad everyday. I have to take tylenol around the clock for it along with hot baths and it still really hurts. I have piercing pain in my shoulder blade now and at times it hurts so bad I actually vomit from the pain it causes. I have now been referred to an orthopedist because of this.My question is-- should I seek money (aside from just the medical bills being covered) ?? The girl who hit the car I was in was determined at fault. If I should seek some sort of monetary award -- how do I determine how much to ask for?, etc. How do I go about getting this taken care of?? Has anyone heard of any situation like this or been in a similar situation -- if so what did you do and what was the outcome? Thanks so much! :)

Im not having periods...not pregnant, not menopause, ...Ibuprofen?

I have a joint condition (EDS) where my Dr has told me I can take up to 2400mg of Ibuprofen in a 24 hour period of time. I have done this for a few years ranging from only 1400mg to 2400mg a day depending on the pain Im having at the time. I would be miserable if I did not take this. The question is... I do not have my monthly periods unless I take a birth control pill to make it happen. They say they have no idea and to not worry about it....that many people don't have periods..they say they aren't actually necessary since I'm not looking to have any more children. Ive had blood work done and everything looks fine hormone wise, and it says its not damaging my stomach etc. I am not pregnant, and I am not going thru menopause. I have read many posts/questions regarding Ibuprofen stopping periods out of convenience. All those posts say they don't. I'm starting to disagree because this is the only thing I take and I have never had period problems in the past when I didn't take them before having my children. I get all the symptoms of having my period, but no "show". Not that I really miss having a period, but I wander if it is dangerous if its from the Ibuprofen. Does anyone have any input on this? I would like to understand what exactly is going on so i can confidently move on and quit trying to figure it out. Anyone had any similar issues? Thanks for your help.

To me race has never been an issue. I am a white person and I have black friends. There are some white people I don't like and there are some black people I don't like. I don't see race when I look at you, I see the person you are or could be. What I don't like is the fact that everything I say can be turned into a racist comment. Me and my peice of a husband have been together for almost 7 years. Our relation hasn't been the best. He's not perfect and neither am I. I was driving and my car stalled randomly and wont start?

Usually what i do is Buy peroxide and bleaching powder you should mix the bleaching powder and peroxide until it makes a watery paste. Then using gloves and a flat brush apply it to your hair one little section at a time. leave it in until your hair gets lighter, if you are not sure wash it out. After that shampoo it. My 15 year old cat had iodine treatment last week on Monday June 16th and I brought him home Thursday afternoon. He was acting fine on Thursday and Friday, eating normally and drinking water, but on Saturday and since then he has been throwing up just like he had been before treatment. He shows some interest in his food, but won't eat much. Plus, he is always lethargic. I heard that lethargy and decreased appetite can be side effects of the treatment. Has anyone who has a cat that has gone through this experienced this as well? How long did it take for your cat to get over these symptoms?

Um yeah. That was really bad. Hartz for one thing, does not do ANYTHING to help with fleas. Hartz is the worst product in the world. And using dog flea and tick shampoo is even worse for cats because it can cause them pyrethrin toxicity. You need to rebathe them with regular dawn dish detergent(no bleach) right away. If they get pyrethrin toxicity, your cats will start tremoring really bad like they are seizuring and its very toxic. If you see these signs, you have to take take them to a vet, or you could let your cats die. I always tell people that if you go cheap and use dog flea and tick stuff (esp hartz) on your cat your gonna end up spending hundreds of dollars anyway to treat your cat for toxicity. Also Emergency is solely walk-ins. That is why it is emergency. See if your ER facility takes care credit if you need to go. Try the dawn first. Maybe you can get it off fast enough before they show signs.

I am 49. My periods have been pretty regular for the last 15 years say. Recently have been getting very very heavy and now am late to have one (no chance of pregs by the way). I went to a new dentist for a routine cleaning/xrays. I've had NO dental pain or problems recently, but....

they took xrays, and by looking at them he told me I need a root c on # 4 and possible on # 14 (both those teeth are on top and near the back I think) Considering I have no pain and have never been to this Dentist before, I can't help being a little weary. The one "symptom" I might have had is that I've had really strange sensations in my left ear for quite some time now, on a daily basis, the hygentist seemed to think that could be connected to my need for RCT. He did show me the xrays and I saw the shadowy spots he says indicate need for Root C. But, is this really enough to go on to make such a diagnosis? Should I try to get a second opinion from and Endodontist? Not that I would even know how to go about doing that without spending a bunch of money....ARGH! I guess I am just looking for general advice. Thanks to anyone who can try and guide me:)

OLD STEAM ENGINE INFO NEEDED.. PLEASE ?

Help needed if poss ? I have an image of an old steam engine, though the number is not completely clear. It starts with 2214, though there could be more numbers on the end of this. The engine is quite small, has a tall chimney and a large distintive dome behind this (resembling a water boiler). This is some sort of working engine (as opposed to a penger type). So I had been running out of batteries on my phone and kept turning it on anyways after it had automatically shut down. The four usual ons on my phone disappeared except the applications on. I was not surprised because I umed that happened just because my battery was pretty much dead and the phone would not have service so it took away my contacts, phone, and messages ons that are on the bottom of my screen. When I replaced the battery with a fully charged battery the on did not reappear and have not reappeared yet. I still only have the applications on at the bottom of my screen. I have the Phone, Messages, and Contacts button mixed in with all the other applications but they are not where they normally should be at the bottom of screen all the time.

Being the only vegetarian in my family and circle of friends how can I expect them to cater just for me? I would never expect that. I always find something to eat, whether it's sides or I eat before hand. Actually I've been so lucky to have such a supportive family and group of friends, there are many times that have wanted to go out of their way for me... I actually feel bad about that! I don't like imposing on people or making a big deal out of it... it was my choice to change my eating habits, no one else should be affected by that.

Being Martha, it's entirely possible that she had a receptacle installed in the floor directly under the lamp. That's a possibility, and I'd guess very likely. You can do that if you like, but remember-real people don't have her budget to move the outlet and patch the floor when we rearrange the furniture. Floor outlets do work nicely though. Am I being unreasonable? want to give my dogs to a better home?

Ive been arguing with my husband lately about our dogs, and although I feel like an awful dog owner I dont think Im THAT out of line. Ive got 2 brother/sister long haired chihuahuas that are 4 we've had them since they were puppies. They have major phycological (not physical) problems...confirmed by 3 vets, with thought that they may have been inbred from a puppy mill or something. One is super submnissive and pees all over the place, even though they are potty trained, its so bad that I cant even look at her without her dragging her but across the room peeing everywhere and then she starts licking it up. The male pees on any rug or towel on the floor, and if we dont lock them outside in the night they (we think its the male) poops in the house. They are terrified of any one / and animal outside of our family and bark insanely all the time. We've had a trainer come to the house, ive tried training them (im sure Ive done most things wrong but ive tried), we've tried diapers for the female. We take them out and "run them" daily but still, they have SO many issues! I just cant stand that we have these dogs that we cant pet or look at without getting peed on and have to pick up their waste from our carpet all the time! Our family has no other pets, and 2 little boys one is 4 and one is 9 months. Ive always had dogs growing up, but these two...geez ive had enough! Im just a horrible pet owner...thats my conclusion! I think that they would do so much better with someone with more experience...but my husband disagrees, although he has no other suggestions :( Any advice...on how to better train them or find them a safe healthy environment?

I'm tired of hearing new stories on the news on which player has been linked to using steroids. I'm a serious baseball fan and i could care less who uses steroids. They have been using them for years and i don't understand why people are surprised by this. If you didn't know that Mark Mcgwire was using steroids when in the mid 90's just by looking at his body then you were in denial. I'm pretty sure it was very very common and may still be so i don't know what the big deal is all of the sudden these past couple years. Can't we just move on and forget about it. MLB just announced it made 6 billion dollars this year and this is after all these steroid allegations. That just goes to show most fans don't care about steroids and they don't want to hear about them. Fans like ballparks, exciting games, rivalries, HOME RUNS. So, I don't even know this one guy and he said he hates me because I am obsessed with zac efron, which isn't true...I just said I like him. Anyway he treats me like crap a lot. I bought this 4 inche tube with 8 soap pebbles that you through in the bath at pathmark today ... and as i was in the kitches putting everything that was in the bags away i noticed a bag missing.... i looked around the house and found a bag ripped apart the the pebbels on the floor and the dog playing with the bag.... i tube was open and i only found 7 pebbles so i think he ate one.... what should i do.... he doens't look sick or throwing up .... the pebbles are gel packet with liquid soap inside and a hard shell outside.... this was maybe two or three hours ago... does anyone know any number to nj animal poison control?

Leather sofa & my new kitten?

I think Europe probably views the US like a much younger sibling. now im going by what the multiple media news tell me, and there are damages, but my question is why didnt it destroy chille if it was an 8.8??? The haiti quake was 6-something and pretty much destoryed it. Why was this earthquake more than 20 times more powerfull, yet it didnt do damage like the haiti. the vast majority of guitarists dont remember a set strumming pattern for each song. the best thing you can do is listen to the song and move your hand to the rhythm. i am willing to bet that if you listen to several different live versions of the song that even the artist will have variation on the strum pattern, it isn't set in stone, and there is nothing wrong with putting your own unique twist on the song

What can I add to my fuel, to prevent ethanol damage?

I lived in Oklahoma, you could still buy 100% gasoline. I moved to New Hampshire, you can't buy 100% gasoline. My car runs on the Gas/ethanol mix but eventually It will cause the fuel filter to clog and I will have to replace it. Is there something I can add to the gas to make it less damaging?
