Why do people always refer to America as?

it has always been a country of immigrants? They should say, "this has always been a country of LEGAL immigrants". Sure, we accept immigrants but of the legal variety. Now we are being overtaken by those coming in with no regard that they are tresping and taking what they want. How long will this be pushed under the rug?
