The date. The year. The seasons. The calendar. Your clock. The sun and moon. Genesis I:16. Many evil rulers used their knowledge of time to rule their slaves. The rulers knew why we die so they invented time machines (listed above) to trick their subjects into following their time. This guaranteed a fresh population of slaves every "generation" which also was a measurement of time. The rulers ignored time. They were immortal until another ruler could trick them into following a false time. The last ruler who has been able to rule the world even in death is Julius Caesar through his adopted son Octavian AKA in myth as Jesus.
