Im not having periods...not pregnant, not menopause, ...Ibuprofen?

I have a joint condition (EDS) where my Dr has told me I can take up to 2400mg of Ibuprofen in a 24 hour period of time. I have done this for a few years ranging from only 1400mg to 2400mg a day depending on the pain Im having at the time. I would be miserable if I did not take this. The question is... I do not have my monthly periods unless I take a birth control pill to make it happen. They say they have no idea and to not worry about it....that many people don't have periods..they say they aren't actually necessary since I'm not looking to have any more children. Ive had blood work done and everything looks fine hormone wise, and it says its not damaging my stomach etc. I am not pregnant, and I am not going thru menopause. I have read many posts/questions regarding Ibuprofen stopping periods out of convenience. All those posts say they don't. I'm starting to disagree because this is the only thing I take and I have never had period problems in the past when I didn't take them before having my children. I get all the symptoms of having my period, but no "show". Not that I really miss having a period, but I wander if it is dangerous if its from the Ibuprofen. Does anyone have any input on this? I would like to understand what exactly is going on so i can confidently move on and quit trying to figure it out. Anyone had any similar issues? Thanks for your help.
