Isn't it time we all just get along?

To me race has never been an issue. I am a white person and I have black friends. There are some white people I don't like and there are some black people I don't like. I don't see race when I look at you, I see the person you are or could be. What I don't like is the fact that everything I say can be turned into a racist comment. For example, I don't and have never like Obama and this has absolutly nothing to do with the color of his skin. I honestly couldn't care less. But the second I express my feelings about his policies I get called racist! When Bush was president and a black person said they hated him I NEVER called them racist! This is just one example of the many things I have experienced. It seems to me that fairness has finally come in this country. Blacks have the same rights as everyone else, they can use the same facilities as everyone else, and for goodness sakes your president is black! So PLEASE stop crying racism! This does not apply to a lot of black people, only those of you like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, etc. And if you say you are still enslaved, you're right. You are enslaved by your "I deserve to be lazy and get everything I want because your great great great great great grandparents held my great great great great great grandparents as slaves" attitude. It's time to wake up and realize just because you can't get what you want doesn't mean someone's being racist. It's called life, and life isn't fair.
